UBM’s DesignCon 2013 kicks off today in Santa Clara, CA with a mobile app powered by DoubleDutch Events. With the mobile app in hand, attendees will not only be able to access up-to-date schedule information, view speaker bios and more, they’ll be able to make smarter connections through the application.

One feature within the mobile event app is what we call People Matching. How it works is quite simple…

Event organizers create a list networking tags which we import to the application. These networking tags should have to do with your event theme or topic at large, but can be about virtually anything. When a user accesses the networking section of the app, they’re prompted to select networking tags that they are interested in. Once an attendee has selected their tags, they are then shown a list of people who share similar interests, making networking at events a cinch.
