New Enhancements Put Content and Science Behind Live Engagement and Results

San Francisco, CA – August 31, 2016 — DoubleDutch, a global leading provider of event apps and the Live Engagement Platform, today announced updates to its platform which further empower attendees to take action, make connections and schedule meetings at conferences and events. Based on findings from a recent customer study conducted by DoubleDutch, purposeful distribution and curation of content has led to more meaningful engagement at events, and ultimately improved business outcomes. DoubleDutch’s 2016 Summer Release provides four new capabilities to the Live Engagement Platform, helping marketers and event organizers use content to drive attendees from passive viewers to more active and engaged participants.

The four new capabilities include quickstart onboarding, revenue management, content visibility permissions and a sub-sessions for agenda creation. According to the study, proactive content management and distribution can drive a 120 percent increase in attendees’ active engagement at events. This strong correlation between content and level of in-app event engagement gives event organizers a way to better control the event experience and achieve business results. For example, the study showed that customers who paired content with gamification and three or more promoted posts at certain points in the event see, on average, more than double the number of attendees who move beyond passive views to more intentional actions such as discussions, likes, and connections with other attendees.

  • Content Visibility Permissions – Drive event success by personalizing in-app content based on the needs of different attendee groups.
  • Sub-Sessions Agenda – Make it easy for attendees to navigate complex agendas, identify topics of interest, and achieve their event goals.
