DoubleDutch announces new maternity and paternity leave policy for its employeesThe movement to support women in technology is on the forefront now more than ever. Collaboration tool, Slack, recently released internal diversity statistics that revealed females represent 45 percent of their leadership and that women make up 39 percent of the company’s overall workforce – and they plan on improving these numbers. YouTube CEO, Susan Wojcicki, recently spoke out on the value of paid maternity leave, and we couldn’t agree more. That’s why today we’re announcing that we’re implementing 12 paid weeks of maternity leave for our employees, double the state benefit policy.

This new benefit, which goes into effect immediately, is our first in a series of efforts to show support for women and families in the company. We are already recognized both internally and industry-wide as a supportive and positive workplace for women to build their careers and this is just one way we’re proving it.

This policy is part of an initiative we are rolling out to show how important our female employees, who make up 38 percent of our company, are for the growth, health and success of the DoubleDutch team.

Here at DoubleDutch, we also believe parenting is a not one-person job. So for the new dads out there, DoubleDutch offers 4 weeks of paid paternity leave. We want to support fathers too in bonding with their newborns while fostering a long and healthy career at DoubleDutch.
