The Gartner Symposium/ITxpo (#GartnerSym) is happening this week in Orlando, FL. The event aims to encourage CIOs and senior IT executives to re-imagine, rethink and reconsider what IT means and how it can be applied to the needs and goals of the enterprise. As consumer tech continues to develop into beautifully designed, easy-to-use products, the demands of enterprise users has shifted to follow suit. IT managers now, more than ever, need to identify opportunities to either evolve and meet the demand of their employees or let their organizations fall to the wayside.

With the penetration of mobile across the enterprise and consumer markets, an even more prominent piece of the conversation is BYOD (bring your own device) strategies at the enterprise level. How do IT managers create an environment that maintains security, but enables employees to use their own devices across the enterprise.

Enterprise employees from the top-down are effected by difficult-to-use programs; ultimately impacting their desire and ability to truly take advantage of enterprise software. The consumerization of tech in the workplace has definitely caused a disruption in the industry and the Gartner Symposium is working to answer the lingering questions of IT managers on how to adapt.

Not only will the event be filled with great conversation and debate, it will be host to a list of amazing speakers from John Chambers (Chairman and CEO of Cisco) to Meg Whitman (President and CEO of HP).

DoubleDutch has a booth in the Emerging Tech area at booth ET32. Take a moment and chat with our CEO and Co-founder, Lawrence Coburn about the future of tech in the enterprise world!
